Dot TK's API service lets developers design computer programs and online applications that interact directly with the Dot TK registration system for free domain name registration services.
This basically means that Dot TK allows developers to register free domain names with the .TK extension, in the background of their applications.
Here are some of the things you can do with the Dot TK API:
At Dot TK we have a great development team; always trying to add more functionality to our service offering. However, the world is full of developers that rock the world. By providing the Dot TK API technology to everyone, we are anticipating the great ideas of others that use and integrate our service. Obviously this can only be done if we provide our Dot TK API services and support at no charge.
To make your programming environment even easier, the Dot TK API uses a simple HTTPS POST to our application server. In our documentation we give a couple of examples of how to use the Dot TK API in various languages - including Java, Perl, PHP and Python. Please refer to the documentation regarding these examples.
If you do have a problem with integration, please take a look at Dot TK's API Forum. Other users or the Dot TK staff might have a solution for you there.
All you need to get started is a Dot TK account. If you don't have a Dot TK account, you can create one here. If you already have a Dot TK account, please log-in at My Dot TK and click the option 'Apply for API' under My Profile.
